Awakening Heart Community of Mindful Living is a welcoming mindfulness meditation community located in the Dallas-Fort Worth / North Texas area, inspired by the practices of Thich Nhat Hanh’s Plum Village Tradition.

  • We welcome people of all levels of experience to practice with us — from beginning meditators to those who are looking to sustain their practice with a welcoming community.
  • We affirm people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations and abilities.
  • We are a refuge for all people regardless of their traditions or beliefs.
  • Our weekly and daily meditation groups are donation-based (dana)

Our home is at Dallas Meditation Center and we have multiple weekly meditation groups (sanghas) that meet either in-person or online (or both):

  • Sunday Awakening Heart – Weekly, Sundays 5:00-7:00 pm CT: Our main meditation group, meets in-person and online
  • Mindful Mondays – Weekly, Mondays 7:30-9:00 pm CT: Meditation and discussion group, meets online
  • Wake Up Dallas YES – Weekly, Tuesdays 7:00-9:00 pm CT: Meditation and teaching group for young adults (20s & 30s), meets in-person and online
  • Interbeing Sangha / Earth Holders Sangha – Weekly, Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm CT: Meditation group which provides a deeper study and practice of the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, meets online
  • Zen-To-Go – Daily, Monday through Friday, 12:00 noon CT: A short, mid-day restorative meditation practice, meets in-person on Mon-Thur and online on Fri

Support Us

Our meditation programs are provided in person at our facility and online. We offer meditation sessions equally to all – regardless of financial means. We accept donations and funding to sustain the community, building rent and utilities. We encourage donations given with gratitude, knowing that giving nurtures the giver.
